Wildflower Session with The Weltz Family

I have been shooting the Weltz Family for over 7 years now! Ashley comes to me for all of her family photos, maternity, birthday, basically every significant milestone in her life… and I feel so honored that she chooses me every time to capture these precious moments in her life.  We chatted before our session date about the vibe she wanted to capture, and she wanted a boho, free spirit, feel to her photos.  I went location scouting and found a Gorgeous field of wildflowers across the street from the Sacramento River.  The field was overflowing with yellow, purple and white flowers.  The perfect Sacramento location for our family photo session!

When Ashley arrived with her family they were dressed in soft pink in blue tones, which completely complimented the flowers.  I had them dance, play, pick flowers and tickle through our whole session.  I always want every session I shoot to be a fun, authentic time.  There is no manufacturing a smile at our sessions, we will full on be having a blast!  I wanted to capture every unique feature, and all of the kids cute little quirks and facial expressions during our session.  The days are fleeting but the memories I capture will last a lifetime.  We ended our session with a cake smash for Ashleys one year old daughter, and her two older brothers jumped in and helped “taste” the cake as well hahah

I feel so honored that my families trust me to capture such sweet moments in their lives.  To say I love my job is an understatement!
