Step Two: Styling Your Session
Wardrobe is one of the most important parts of the experience. Don’t worry—you won’t be left guessing.
- You’ll have access to style guides tailored for both guys and girls.
- You can choose from my client closet, which includes one-of-a-kind statement pieces and every color cap and gown (and if I don’t have the right one, I’ll order it for you).
- We’ll refine your outfits together so that everything feels authentic to your personality—just elevated for the camera.

Step Three: Choosing the Perfect Location
Once we know what you’re wearing, we’ll pick the ideal location to bring your session to life. Your outfits and personality help determine the vibe, and I know incredible spots all over Northern California.
- Want a rustic, country setting? I’ve got plenty of gorgeous open fields and ranch-style backdrops.
- Love the city vibe? We’ll head to the urban streets of downtown Sacramento.

- Don’t forget water, hair spray, and a brush.
With over a decade of experience photographing hundreds of seniors, I’ve seen it all—and I make sure you’re prepared for anything. I even bring a pop-up changing tent (since many outdoor locations don’t have bathrooms nearby) and keep my bag stocked with bug spray, allergy meds, tissues, and more.
Step Five: Your Stress-Free Session
On session day, my job is to make you feel confident, comfortable, and carefree. You’ll get a mix of posed portraits, candid moments, laughter, and movement so your gallery feels natural and joyful. Even moms have fun—whether holding the next outfit, laughing behind the scenes, or watching their senior shine in front of the camera.
This isn’t about rushing through photos—it’s about creating memories. And yes, I’ll direct you every step of the way so you never feel awkward or unsure.
Step Six: The Big Reveal
A few days after your session, you and your parent will come back for your gallery reveal meeting—my favorite part! Your images will be showcased on a big screen, and together we’ll select your favorites and decide how you’d like to preserve them.
Whether it’s a gorgeous heirloom album, framed wall portraits, or a curated collection for your home, these images are meant to be lived with, not tucked away. Your matching digital files will be delivered within 3–5 days, and products arrive within 3–5 weeks. And yes, I always keep tissues handy—because moms, this moment can be emotional.
