That’s why I’m giving you my FREE Senior Session Prep Checklist—real, practical, mom-approved items that make your session easy, relaxed, and fun.

✅ 1️⃣ Define Your Vision
Before you even pack your bag, think about what you want from your photos.
- What vibe feels most you? Urban streets? Open fields? The lake?
- Do you want solo shots only, or family/pet add-ons?
- How do you want to feel when you see these photos years from now?
As your Rocklin photographer, I help you plan locations and ideas so your session truly reflects you.
✅ 2️⃣ Plan and Pack Your Outfits
The right wardrobe can make your photos shine—and the wrong one can cause stress on the day.
Here’s what to have READY:
- Clothes ironed and on hangers (no wrinkles on camera!)
- Accessories: jewelry, hats, jackets to switch up looks
- Strapless bra or sticky boobs for off-shoulder tops/dresses
- Flip flops or easy shoes for walking between locations
- All planned shoes for your outfits (no surprises!)
- Lint roller for last-minute touch-ups
- Extra socks or stockings if needed
I always recommend 2–3 complete looks to add variety. And don’t worry—I’ll help you style them in advance so you’re 100% confident!
✅ 3️⃣ Hair, Makeup, and Grooming Prep
Look polished, but still you.
- Hairspray, brush, comb
- Bobby pins and hair ties in your color
- Makeup bag for touch-ups (lip gloss, powder, blotting sheets)
- Clean, neutral nails (even for the guys!)
- Moisturizer or chapstick for healthy skin
- Schedule haircuts 7–10 days before (not the night before!)

These are the things everyone forgets until they need them:
- Water (hydrated models are happy models!)
- Snacks (especially for longer sessions)
- Allergy meds if needed (hello, spring pollen!)
- Mosquito spray for evening golden hour locations
- Tissues or wipes for quick clean-ups
- Props or personal items (sports gear, instrument, letterman jacket, pet leash, grad cap!)
- Phone for inspo/mood board
